A single cask from Precious Liquors (Three Wise Men Selection), 12-year-old Speyside (undisclosed distillery), with a one-year finish in a first-fill PX barrique. Clearly PX-led: toffee, baked figs, raisins, an upfront wave of sherry sweetness followed by dried fruit, with a full, oily mouthfeel and a measured oak grip. Bottled at cask strength (50.5% ABV), non-chill filtered and with no added colour — focused on cask impact and distillate clarity.
“Corporal Wojtek” references Wojtek, the bear of Władysław Anders’ 2nd Polish Corps, known for carrying ammunition during the Battle of Monte Cassino. The name reflects the whisky itself: direct, structured and without embellishment.
